Basic Principles for Fly Ash Dryer Selection

Each fly ash dryer device has its specific scope of application, and each material can match with several types of fly ash dryer equipment satisfying the basic requirements, but only one of them is the most befitting drying machine. If the model is selected improperly, the users have to suffer not only the unnecessary high purchasing cost, but also the heavy prices during the whole using period, such as low efficiency, high energy consumption, high operating cost, poor product quality, abnormal running, and so on.

The following are the general principles for fly ash dryer model selection. Ideal model selection must take your own needs into consideration.

1. Applicability. First of all, the drying equipment must applies to specific materials, and meet the basic requirements of the materials, such as excellent material processing including feeding, conveying, fluidization, dispersion, heat transfer, discharging, etc., and is able to satisfy the basic requirements on processing capacity, dehydrating amount, product quality and so on.

2. High drying velocity. In convection drying, materials are highly dispersed in hot air, with a low critical moisture content and fast drying velocity. Different drying methods correspond to different Critical moisture content, and thus the drying velocity differs with both the drying method and critical moisture content.

3. Low energy consumption. Different drying methods are of different energy consumption. In general, the thermal efficiency of conduction drying is theoretically able to achieve 100%, while that of the convection drying is only 70%.

4. Saving investment. Sometimes, different drying equipment even has complete the same functions, but there is a wide difference in their manufacturing costs. At this time, we should choose the cheaper.

5. Low operating costs. The costs of equipment depreciation, energy consumption, labor, maintenance, spare parts should be as low as possible.

6. Give preference to such drying equipment of simple structure, high reliability, long service life and a sufficient supply of spare parts.

7. Conforming to environment protection, good working conditions, high security.

8. Before choosing the model, it's advisable to conduct material drying experiments, to deeply learn about the advantages and disadvantages of the drying device, which is also good for appropriate model selection.

9. Do not totally rely on the past experience, pay attention to absorbing new technologies, and take experts' advice.
