New Technology of Coal Slime Drying Process

The new processing technology of coal slime dryer is aimed at solving the problem that coal slime because of high moisture is difficult to be comprehensively utilized. This process breaks coal slime into pieces first and then dries them by the heating power, realizing the contentious and industrial processing of coal slime. After processed by this technology, its water content can be reduced from 30% to 12%. Because this technology brings in the primary crushing process, the drying efficiency of coal slurry can be improved significantly. This new processing technology of coal slime dryer has opened up a new way for the comprehensive utilization of coal slime.

Coal slime after having been processed is mainly applied to the following several aspects.

1. As the raw material to process coal briquettes, for the use of industrial boilers or residents' living.

2. As the fuel of power plants, to lower production cost.

3. As the additive in brick-making, to improve cement properties.

4. Some coal slime containing certain ingredients can be used as chemical materials.

The comprehensive utilization of coal is the only way for coal enterprises to change their single management, as well as the hope for coal industry to turn around the profit and loss. In China, our raw coal washing rate is at about 30% and the annual coal emissions are more than 20 million tons. In addition, the actual price of coal slime is far lower than that of raw coal. Especially in some mining lots, coal slime has a weak market, resulting in a bulk deposition. So the use of coal slime is of great urgency.

Drying coal slime to produce industrial coal achieves the on-the-spot disposal, which can not only save energy and promote benefits, but also reduce the environmental pollution in the mining areas.

In conclusion, due to this new technology of coal slime drying process, coal slime's using range has been largely extended. And its product's added value has also been greatly improved.
